annoyed at traumatic training excercises| # October 1, 2010 @ 3:49 PM — Flag Comment
Does anyone consider the affect of traumatic training experiences on the psychological development of kids? The probability of a rollover is so minor, why even give that thought to kids to worry about? Why not let kids be kids? It's the like school invasion drills... the message that conveys is to be afraid and that people are out to get you...
How about we spend time preparing for the 999,999 events out of a million, rather the than the 1 in a million events...
At the end of the day, this type of training is rarely beneficial, due to the flood of hormones that clouds rational thought during true emergencies.
