Letter: Kaine should support those who represent his values

February 23rd, 2007
Letter to the Editor
Gov. Tim Kaine has announced that he is backing presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama. As a Virginian, I find this quite a surprise since Kaine campaigned to me on how he is pro-life (but he will follow the law) and, incidentally, he is anti-capital punishment (but, once again, he will follow the law).

With Kaine embracing such a staunch defense of the unborn, (he told us he's pro-life, you know) I don't see how he backs up the quasi-divine Obama who voted against providing health care to Americans who survive an attempted murder (the word the elitist media used was "abortion").

Sincerely

Brian Stanley,

Pulaski, Virginia

Re: Kaine Letter ?!? (by Matt Cosner on 25th February) Hussein IS Obama's middle name... and as far as I can see, the author didn't explicity or implicitly say anything about his disloyalty... he simply stated the candidates full name.
It appears that the Dems have made a pre-emptive issue out of this "Hussein thing" more than any GOPer... perhaps a play for sympathy?
Re: Kaine Letter (by Scott Ahearn on 23rd February) Maybe Tim Kaine supports Obama prefers to use his brain and actually evaluate a candidate rather than take the intellectually lazy position of being a single-issue voter. Oh, and the whole "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" thing is already tired 20 months away from the general election. If you people have to resort to trying to infer disloyalty based on nothing but a man's middle name this early in the game then maybe you guys are even more s------ than I thought.
