Collegiate Times RSS Feeds

The Collegiate Times has started a service which provides RSS feeds of its articles. This article will answer basic questions about the service and how it affects your browsing experience.

What is an RSS Feed? An RSS feed lets you browse the CT's headlines without actually traveling to the website. You can look at the recent headlines and see details and previews of them, with links to the actual article. You can read the CT's articles alongside other RSS-enabled websites for a diverse, multi-source news experience.

How do I use the feeds?
  • Browsers supporting RSS include (but are not limited to): Firefox, Safari (Mac only) and Opera.
  1. When you click the link below, you will see an RSS icon in the URL bar. Click this to see the feeds you can subscribe to.

  2. The browser will prompt you to subscribe to the feed. It will then put a link in your "bookmarks" or "feeds" menu, which, when clicked on, will show all recent articles from the Collegiate Times. Firefox calls these "Live Bookmarks." Safari will open them it its internal RSS "aggregator" and you will have to bookmark the feed page manually.

  3. If your browser is capable, the articles will update automatically whenever you open your browser. If the browser doesn't recognize the RSS feed, try "refresh."
