The Virginia Tech Police Department issued a crime alert at 4:01 p.m. on Sept. 20 about two reports of trespassing and one report of burglary that took place on the evening of Sept. 19. Both occurred between 6 and 8:30 p.m., according to the alert.

According to the report, the trespassings occurred in New Residence Hall — East and the burglary occurred in Harper Hall.

“The suspects in two of the incidents were described as two black males, one of which was further described as approximately 6'3" while the other was described as approximately 5'10", both with average builds,” according to the crime alert. “Both were described as having no facial hair, short haircuts, and wearing dark colored warm-up athletic gear.

“The other suspect was described as a lone black male, approximately 24 or 25 years of age, with a beard and wearing a black shirt and denim jeans.”
