The Virginia Tech men's lacrosse team is not a varsity sport, but it has certainly grown to be a lot more than just another club sport.

It was an emotional weekend for Tech's softball team. After getting into a 1-0 hole to Michigan, it had to win the next two games to advance and it did just that behind the arm of All-American pitcher Angela Tincher and steady offense.

It was a rough day for the Virginia Tech batters. The Hokies only managed three hits with no runs. Michigan didn't fare much better but it was able to get one run on four hits and one run – all that would be needed.

It was another stellar performance for Angela Tincher. After having thrown 157 pitches yesterday in Tech's game against Louisville, Tincher was still able to strike out 14 batters and only gave up three hits with no runs.

Angela Tincher was not ready for this to be her last game in a Virginia Tech uniform. Her performance was nothing short of spectacular. Tincher allowed only one hit and struck out 19 on her way to a way 1-0 victory and a chance to play against Tennessee
