Marcus Vick arrested for DUI

Marcus Vick, 24, former Virginia Tech and Miami Dolphins football player, was arrested for driving under the influence and evading police in Norfolk today.

Marcus Vick is the brother of ex-Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick was approached by a bicycle police officer around 2 a.m. The officer noticed Vick arguing with a woman in a vehicle, according to news reports.

The officer approached the car and asked for Vick's identification and at this point Vick drove away. Another officer apprehended him several minutes afterward.

Vick has been charged with DUI, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license as well as evading police, according to news reports.

The former Tech quarterback was released on a $1,000 bond and has a court appearance scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday.

I thought DUI was mandatory jail time now......at least over night or over the weekend until your first court appearance. Anyone know what is going on here?

It is usually over night or until you sober up. It doesn't specify when he was released on the $1,000 bond so maybe it was the following morning. Wonder who posted the bond b/c it certainly wasn't Michael this time. HAHA, losers.
