I am one of the many true Hokie fans who did not receive tickets to men's basketball this season. I cannot express clearly in words the level of pain this has caused me.
Whoever coined this season ticket lottery is, in the words of the great Seth Greenberg, "certifiably insane".
For juniors and seniors who have lived and breathed Hokie basketball to not receive tickets just makes me sick.
I have missed all of two basketball games during my career, and I feel that some sort of system should be implemented next year, a sort of rewards system that most schools have, to provide those who are the true Hokie fans the season tickets we deserve.

You are basing "fairness" on loyalty, but what about basing it on money? In that case, anyone paying an athletic fee should have an equal chance for tickets, which is what the current system provides.
