Police investigate a dumpster between Pritchard and Lee Halls yesterday after responding to what residents described as sounds of gunfire. Boomer, an explosive-sniffing dog, found a nail gun cartridge nearby. Police believe the explosion to be a product of two pranksters.
At least one loud bang resonated through Pritchard Hall yesterday afternoon, leading some to believe they had heard gunfire and catalyzing a rapid response from emergency services.

It's sickening to me that a couple of idiot kids think this was funny. Yeah, idiots. For the first time in your lives you have been given the freedom to live your life as an adult, and this is the decision-making ability you demonstrate? I hope their identities are revealed and harsh penalties are applied.

Its hardly "prank" in this environment...more like a crime even it would be a misdemeanor.

We need to do something about this unrestricted access to nail guns and nail gun parts. We need to make sure the construction tool lobbies aren't too powerful and aren't protected from lawsuits! You don't even need a permit to own a nail gun! This is outrageous!

These idiot "pranksters" have no idea of what we lost on 4/16. I hope they are identified and held responsible for their actions. Their prank rubbed old wounds.

Still, Gadi, it's not right to circumstantially prosecute people. The punishment for doing this should be the same as it was on April 16, 2007.

My daughter rooms at Lee Hall. These jerks better not get caught, and then get near me.
