Bond, James Bond, has been a part of our cinematically filled history since 1962. Bond has reigned supreme among all spy movies. Since the beginning of the Bond movie releases, starting with "Dr. No" in 1962, the silver screen has seen 22 Bond movies. Keeping track of the suave character of Bond and all his films is daunting. And trying to keep who's who in check can be a task in itself. So let's take a look back at the best of Bond...
2006
The most recent addition to the Bond lineage is the craggy Daniel Craig who has performed up to expectations with his charm and rugged persona. "Casino Royale" was his first Bond film, premiering in 2006, introducing a grittier, darker side to the series. Last Friday, on Nov. 14, "Quantum of Solace" began showing at the box office -- pulling in more than $70 million dollars in its opening weekend, a new Bond record.Currently, the Bond movies have grossed more than $4 billion, making it the highest grossing film series of all time, besting even the success of the Harry Potter films.
2002
In 2002, Brosnan's role as Bond also made history for franchise, introducing the first African-American actress to become a Bond girl. Halle Berry performed splendidly in "Die Another Day" as "Jinx."
1995
The award for most widely-known actor for our generation goes to luminary Pierce Brosnan for his role as 007.
Starting in '95 with "GoldenEye," his acting career took off after his introduction to the Bond family.
1987
Less popular -- but still known as a Bond actor -- is Timothy Dalton. He took over the role in '87 and made
"The Living Daylights" and "License to Kill."
1973
In comes Roger Moore, the savvy and suave James Bond. His role as Bond is also a highly loved and very popu-
lar one. 1973's "Live and Let Die" was the beginning of a wonderful 12-year relationship with the movies. His most popular films as Bond during those times included "The Man With the Golden Gun" and "Octopussy."
1969
George Lazenby -- arguably the least popular Bond -- is up next. He only made his appearance in "On Her
Majesty's Secret Service." Not racking up the profits or popularity, he turned in his spy gadgets and tux after
just one film. Sean Connery once again stepped up to the plate for the last time in 1971's "Diamonds are Forever."
1964
"Goldfinger" ushered in the 1963 Aston Martin DB5 in the Bond movies. Aston Martin vehicles have since
been known all over the world as the famous Bond car.
1962
Starting off, we have Sean Connery, probably the most iconic Bond actor in my book. He took the role and made it soar in 1962's "Dr. No." After this breakout performance, Connery made a new Bond movie almost every
year until 1967, starting his hiatus with "You Only Live Twice."

Not only is this piece almost totally devoid of substance, it has also set the record for the most instances of "The Terrorists" winning in a print document, as the publication of each successive paragraph can be interpreted only as a direct affront to the constitution of the United States, and to the freedom of Americans both at home and abroad. Also, the term "craggy" is better suited to a description of Barbara Walters' nether regions than it is Daniel Craig.

It is hardly an accomplishment that 22 Bond movies just barely outgross 5 Harry Potter movies. I understand that many of them are from the days of yore, but still, if you take the 5 highest grossing Bonds, they get their butts kicked by Harry Potter, and probably lots of other series.
