For all of those who use Broce Street to connect from Progress Street to University Mall, I'm sure I speak for every one of them in saying that the so-called "renovations" are a disaster.
Broce Street wasn't a very safe street to begin with. It was a windy road with a very awkward intersection when nearing University Mall. Some renovations or improvements of this road were surely needed. However, now that the road has been "improved," it has become even more dangerous. The street has been become even narrower along with lopsided lanes. And for anyone who has driven around the roundabout, they know this is a complete failure. Going from University Mall toward Progress Street, you don't even have to turn when going through this roundabout. And when going the opposite direction, the lane is extremely thin and very difficult to see any other traffic. In my opinion, this roundabout is even more dangerous than the awful intersection we had before. It is discouraging for me to see that people observe the need for things to be fixed, yet they don't put forth the thought and effort to do it right.
