Q&A: Country musician visits Lyric

Darrell Scott returns to Blacksburg to fill the Lyric with his Nashville, Tenn., sounds and laid-back personality.

The award-winning songwriter will share his own brand of stripped-down country and Southern rock with the theater’s Friday night crowd.

Scott began his career as a session musician in Nashville and has since performed his own music around the world. His songs have been covered by some of country’s biggest acts, such as Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and the Dixie Chicks.
