Police are looking for leads in the case of a robbery that took place in the early hours of Oct. 31.
According to a statement from the Virginia Tech Police released Saturday morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a female Tech student was robbed on the 600 block of Lee Street. The student, who was walking by herself, asked for directions from a male individual, who proceeded to strike her in the face. The suspect, who police say may have used a set of keys to strike the victim, fled with the student’s wallet and cash.
The victim was not identified in the released. She was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment.

Wow crimes like this aren't that common here in Blacksburg. I hope we find this individual. People like that shouldn't be in this town. I guess even Blacksburg isn't safe enough for women to walk downtown alone at night.

A college age female walking around town at 1:30AM by herself!!!! Gosh, no wonder you ladies are subjected to crimes at night. You're asking for it being by yourself.
