Police have arrested a Blacksburg man allegedly responsible for a series of local burglaries.

Blacksburg Police arrested Sean Edward Ball early Thursday morning in the 400 block of East Roanoke Street, while investigating a series of residential burglaries.

At approximately 4:05 a.m., police stopped the 27-year-old Ball after finding him acting suspiciously near the scene of the burglaries. Further investigation along with evidence left at the scene led to Ball’s arrest.

Police are also looking into Ball’s connection with other crimes.

Ball is charged with six counts of Burglary with Intent to Commit Larceny, and was placed in Montgomery County Jail without bond. Ball is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County Court on Jan. 4, 2010.

Robbery and burglary are different crimes.
