Virginia Tech was closed Friday because of inclement weather conditions.
Students were informed at 5:38 a.m., Friday via the VT Alert system that all day and evening classes would be cancelled. All university events were also cancelled.
The Blacksburg Transit operated on its limited break service system because of the weather.

I've never seen so much snow in one year. There's got to be some kind of totals record this year.
