Correction: This story has been modified from its original version. — The intersection of 15th Street and Grady Avenue is about one mile from the John Paul Jones Arena, not "about 11." The Collegiate Times regrets this error.

As Virginia State Police continue to investigate the death of former Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, more evidence continues to surface.

Information about the clothing Harrington wore the night of her disappearance on Oct. 17, 2009 was confirmed today for the first time.

It had been reported that she was wearing a black t-shirt with the band name “Pantera” written on it in tan lettering.

A Charlottesville resident found that shirt on Nov. 11 near the intersection of 15th Street and Grady Avenue, about eleven mile from the farm where Harrington’s body was found on Jan. 26, and about one mile from the John Paul Jones Arena — the last place she was seen before her disappearance.

State police have pursued almost 1,000 leads in Harrington’s case so far and are still encouraging people to call their tip line at 434-977-4000. A $150,000 reward is available for information leading to Harrington’s murderer.

A version of this article appeared in the Apr 16 issue of the Collegiate Times.

This is all incorrect. The intersection of 15th and Grady is about a mile from John Paul Jones arena but about 11 miles from the farm where her body was found.

Getting kind of tired of hearing about this. Bad things happen out there everyday... becoming intoxicated and wandering around in somewhat provocative dress outside a rock concert is not very wise behavior. I certainly dont condone whatever violent act occurred to her, but why do we continue to focus on her so strongly? The two students that were murdered in the national forest havent received 1/2 the amount of attention and sympathy and were probably more deserving of it in my opinion

probably because people thought for so long that she still could have been alive

Sadly you're right, and the reason is because her family is LOADED. I mean look at the reward they put out! I know Metallica helped but only with 50 grand. Also she was white. So there you go.

It's important because who ever killed her, is still out there. A murderer in our town and if we just sweep it under the rug, because people like you are "tired of it", than justice will not be served. Stop being a selfish moron and think beyond yourself. If this was your daughter, would you just sit back and do nothing? Or would you want to find out who murdered your child?

I agree with the previous poster. She was NOT Cindy Brady from the Brady Bunch.... can we please stop acting like she was and move on ?

I'm pretty sure you didn't know her, so I'm surprised you made such a 'in depth' judgement call here. You are really displaying your intelligence Mr. Anonymous! NOT.
Who cares if she was perfect or not, she and her family deserves justice just like anyone else.

Regardless of what Ms. Harrington was wearing, regardless of where she was walking or in what state she was in, she did NOTHING to deserve this tragedy. It does not matter if she was "Cindy Brady" or not - she is a victim of a senseless, violent crime that she did nothing to incite.

Your callous heartlessness surprises me. I'm sure some of the 32 victims of April 16th wouldn't be described as "Cindy Brady's" - did they deserve their crime? No. No one deserves a tragedy.

This is not about whether or not she deserved it. Very few people are calloused enough or ignorant enough to say "she deserved it." The previous poster seemed to be stating out that she used poor judgement and unfortunately fell prey as a result. The world can and often is a dangerous place, and I agree that some need to be a little less naive in that regard.

Agreeing with anon. The victim blaming here is really kind of disconcerting.

Her family deserves closure, and no matter how she was dressed, or what situation she may have put herself in and the fact that she was not Cindy Brady should have no bearing on the fact that there is a killer that needs to be punished for the crime that was committed. Have some respect for her and her family. It's not your place to judge her, period. Especially since she is not here to defend herself. Go pick on someone who can fight you back.
