According to Virginia Tech guard Malcolm Delaney’s Twitter feed, he’s coming back to school and returning for his senior season.

“IM COMIN BACC TO SCHOOL… FINAL 4,” the Atlantic Coast Conference’s leading scorer said to his teammates, Cadarian Raines, Allan Chaney and JT Thompson through the social-networking site Friday.

Tech head coach Seth Greenberg confirmed Delaney’s decision Friday night, according to Andy Katz of ESPN.com.

Delaney, from Baltimore, Md., led the Hokies last season, averaging 20.2 points per game while helping Tech reach the third round of the National Invitation Tournament.

His return comes as great news to Hokies fans, a group that hasn’t seen its men’s basketball team reach the NCAA Tournament since 2007, and now sees its team returning all of its starters in 2010.

Underclassmen who declared for the NBA Draft, but did not sign with an agent have until Saturday to remove their names from the draft and retain their college eligibility.

1. I get that people spell all sorts of things wrong, but the fact he's gone to school at VT for three years and can't spell "back" correctly isn't a good look for the university.

2. I love how this is written like he wanted to come back to school, and not that no NBA team had interest, forcing him to come back (and really, who blames them after the super-choke performances in the NIT games).

3. Maybe the misspelling of "back" is related to some sort of other issues, cause this kid's got delusions of grandeur if he thinks he can take this squad to the Final Four. This is coming from someone who will shoot a 3, with a hand in his face, when the team is only down by 5 with the whole second half left.

About the "back" misspelling. Don't you think it might have something to do with VT being in the ACC? Cause if that is the case, it wouldn't seem all that strange for someone that actually plays in the ACC to "misspell" something that way.

I sure hope you aren't a sports fan and missed that one...
