EDUCATIONAL MEDIA COMPANY AT VIRGINIA TECH
EMCVT is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization created by Virginia Tech in 1997 as the successor to the Student Media Board. community.

BUGLE YEARBOOK
The Bugle, the yearbook of Virginia Tech, covers the year through photography, stories and design. Our mission is to maintain a voice for the student body by covering what is happening in all aspects of life at Virginia Tech. This is an exciting year for the Bugle, as it will be the first all-color book in its 115-year history.
Our staff develops a concept to drive the book, and fills the book with visually compelling design, student photography from SPPS, and stories from the staff that cover a range of events, activities and interests of our students. The Bugle is seeking out students who have experience in working for student media, but it also looks to work with others who wish to get involved with a publication for the first time.
There are a range of positions available based on desired involvement. Staff writers contribute by submitting stories periodically, while editors hold weekly office hours to help compile and edit submitted materials to produce the book.
To apply for the Bugle staff, visit www.collegemedia.com/join. Feel free to contact Caroline Doss, editor-in-chief, at YBK@vt.edu with any questions or concerns you may have. The Bugle is anticipating an innovative year, and we hope to build a staff that can accompany this new excitement.

COLLEGE MEDIA SOLUTIONS
College Media Solutions is a great workplace for any Virginia Tech student who plans to peruse a career in marketing, sales or management. I started working at CMS as a sophomore with no background in marketing. I soon learned the tools of the trade in a fast pace and fun work environment. I have made so many great friends at CMS, spanning from my co-workers to business owners to all of my advisors.
Working at CMS has been an amazing experience, one that has shown me a career path that I am truly passionate about. I would highly recommend any new Tech student to apply for a job at College Media Solutions.

I’ll be in Blacksburg all summer. Please stop by our offices in 365 Squires Student Center, and we can discuss how you can be a part of the Collegiate Times staff. Or you can e-mail me at
