Virginia Tech Police issued an e-mail notice Tuesday afternoon about an ongoing investigation into abduction and forcible fondling incidents that were reported to have occurred in November at the Inn at Virginia Tech.
“The victim reported that on one occasion...a co-worker pushed her in a closet and fondled her breasts,” the e-mail said. “On another occasion, also in November 2010, the suspect pulled the victim into a storage closet.”
The e-mail said the suspect is not currently an employee of Tech or on campus.
Those with additional information about the incident are asked to call Detective R.L. Taylor of the Virginia Tech Police Department at (540) 231-8121.

WHO CARES? I don't see why I should get an e-mail about this and the other events they have e-mailed us about recently...VTPD is just crying wolf to me...If I wanted to know about this I would read or see it on the news. VTPD is now a member of my junk e-mail folder.

Steven- you are exactly right. People never seem to be satisfied with alerts- whether it is TOO MUCH or NOT ENOUGH, someone always finds a way to complain
Personally, I would rather take 15 seconds out of my life to quickly read a local police report that alerts me to what is going on in the neighborhood and could very well affect me.
