During orientation and the first few weeks of college, students will hear the names of websites thrown around as often as frisbees on the drillfield in August.
One of those websites is Hokie SPA, and it is one of the most important and most frequented websites students use while at Virginia Tech.
Hokie SPA is the one stop shop to everything you need to know about your student account. Financial information, final grades, course request, and much more is available to students whenever they need to access their records.
Official and unofficial transcripts are also available on Hokie SPA, which are particularly useful when ensuring that high school test scores transfer, and when students are ready to send their transcripts to potential employers.
Students can also add and change their meal plan options, view housing assignments, and edit their personal records.
Hokie SPA offers many possibilities for students all in one place, rather than searching around Virginia Tech’s website to find the information they are looking for.
One of the most useful tools on Hokie SPA is the degree audit report system (DARS) which tracks completed classes, grades in the completed classes, and classes that have not yet been fulfilled.
Advisors always tell students to consult their DARS report before attending advisor meetings to ensure they are up-to-date on what the system says and to make sure that there are no errors on their class listings.
Make sure to check out Hokie SPA by logging in with your PID and password to update your information before classes start in August.
Explore the site and see what it has to offer, because you will be getting close and personal with every aspect of Hokie SPA over the next four years.
