Celebrate the end of the year with this pineapple-flavored delight. Whether you’re graduating or lamenting the inevitable return of September, this is the perfect drink to kick off the summer.
This particular recipe is referred to as a build, but there are variants to the recipe which allow you to add ingredients to the base recipe. The pineapple dominates both smell and taste, although that’s rarely a bad thing — unless you’re allergic, in which case you probably shouldn’t be reading this article beyond the title.
Your taste buds might be slightly confused because it is hard to differentiate a single flavor apart from the pineapple juice, but it’s almost as if the ingredients have combined to form a new, distinct experience.
1 part Southern Comfort
1 part Triple Sec
1 part Malibu Rum
1 part pineapple juice
1 cherry (to garnish)
1. In a glass filled with ice, add the rum, Southern Comfort, Triple Sec and pineapple juice, in that order.
2. Garnish with a cherry and serve.
