Two men attempted to abduct a woman at about 2:15 a.m. on Friday, June 29, according to the Virginia Tech police.
The woman was walking across Henderson lawn from College Avenue towards Alumni Mall when two men grabbed her and attempted to drag her towards a pickup truck on Alumni Mall, but she was able to free herself and run towards College Avenue, the report said.
The woman and witnesses told the police that the suspects were "Hispanic males, medium height and medium build, 25-35 years old, with brown hair. One was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt"
The left the lawn in a "dark colored, regular cab pickup truck" and went southbound on Main Street. Witnesses said the last four digits of the license plate were 3330, but did not know the other digits or state, according to the report.
The police ask anyone with information about this to call (540) 231-6411.

All letters to the editor must include a name, e-mail, daytime phone number and affiliation to Virginia Tech. Affiliation includes: year and major for students; position and department for faculty and staff; current city for alumni and parents.
If you post an alarming headline like this THEN UPDATE your news to show they caught the suspects!!! If I'm "thinking of going to Tech" and I happen to log on - all I'm seeing is crime in progress - they caught them days ago!!! This is the problem with "digital media" - if yo aren't on top of it hourly - you are misinforming the reader. New Media 101.

The problem here is that you are expecting quality journalism from the CT. After a while you just give up on your expectations of GOOD journalism and embrace the mediocrity that is the Collegiate Times.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of completely unique content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any ways to help reduce content from being stolen? I'd truly appreciate it.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
