Dreary conditions continue early this week, as chances of rain persist through Thursday night. But sunshine looks to return in full force Friday, just in time for fall break.
After nearly a week of constant cloud cover and periods of drizzle, little relief is in sight for Blacksburg. Tuesday will mark the first mostly sunny day in quite a while. High temperatures will respond by pushing up to 70 degrees in the afternoon. Fog will be an issue overnight as lows drop into the 40s.
Cloud cover and the chances for rain increase on Wednesday. While most areas will remain dry in the NRV, a brief shower or two remain possible. Temperatures will climb to the upper-60s.
A few peeks of sun arrive on Thursday, as dry conditions once again settle in. Clouds move in by the evening as rain chances pick up overnight. Highs will struggle to reach the low-60s.
The sun makes a reappearance Friday just in time for fall break. Highs will remain on the cool side, however, once again reaching into the low 60s. Sunny conditions will not last long as chances of rain pick up Saturday.
