Stefan Skeeter, a senior communication major, draws his inspiration from close friends and ?anyone who keeps in mind everything that makes them who they are and then expresses each of those dimensions.? There?s no doubt that everyone at Virginia Tech brings the accumulation of his or her own life experience to the Hokie Nation. Stefan, of course, is no exception. ?I'm from Portsmouth, Virginia. Better known as P-town to anyone who?s had the pleasure of experiencing it. Portsmouth is the heart of what people like to call the 757. Ask anyone from there and they'll tell you it?s the craziest, most unique place in the world. People from there are real and that's all there is to it.? Who we are is often determined by each of our own life experiences. Some of us grew up with a love of reading and became writers. Some, like Stephan, are musicians, and thus we find that sooner or later, we?re always going to be drawn towards what we know best. Everyday people make the world go around, and it?s people like Stephan, whose selfless contributions to Downtimes make us realize that everyone has something to offer everyone else, and in fact what we may think as ordinary, can often become extraordinary. ?Well I'm a musician myself first of all, but other than that I'm just a Virginia Tech student with an opinion, I guess. I saw a show of Daniel's, had a good time and wrote about it.? Thanks Stefan. We appreciate it.
