Clay Street will be closed from Church Street to South Main Street until Friday, May 26 at 3 p.m. due to building work underway on Clay Court. Clay Street will be open for the weekend but will resume closing Monday, May 29 at 7 a.m. until Wednesday, May 31 at 5 p.m.

Traffic will be detoured via an alternative route through Church Street to Washington Street.

Construction is in progress for Clay Court, a new development initiated by Steve Hill. Clay Court consists of 32 high-end condominiums and six commercial spaces, including the newly opened Gourmet Pantry and Alligator Alley.

Soon to come are an undisclosed real estate business and a restaurant by the name of Cafe du Bangkok.

Two spaces are still available for rent for commercial use beginning at $315,000. Condominiums are still under construction but are available for sale and will be completed in August and September.
