The Virginia Tech Hokies (14 - AP) shut out the Duke Blue Devils this Saturday in a 36-0 win at home.

The Hokies showed a consistent, punching defense from the line, holding the Blue Devils to only 139 yards.

Tech offense scored a touchdown within the first seconds of the game when a pass from Sean Glennon to Clowney gave the Hokies 60 yards. Brandon Ore rushed for a total 64 yards and a touchdown, however a lack of consistent productivity stalled the offense.

Glennon threw an intercepted pass early in the game, leaving the Hokies with a rough first quarter. Tech converted 5 of 9 third downs, while earning 7 penalties.

Eddie Royal showed an impressive turn out with five returns totaling 127 yards, including a 36 yard touchdown return.
