Reggie Ball scored a touchdown on the first possession to set the path for a ?yellow? first quarter. Eight minutes into the game, Calvin Johnson caught a 53 yard touchdown pass from Reggie Ball to skew the score to 14-0. A lack of motion from Hokie offense, and a series of poor passes led the Yellow Jackets to a third touchdown from Tashard with only 11 minutes on the clock.
Brandon Ore and Brandon Pace attempted to reset the Hokie offense, evening the score to 13-21 by the middle of the second quarter.
Two touchdowns from Georgia Tech in the start of the second half seemed to end any hopes of a Hokie rally. With two fumbles, few rushing yards, and no serious drives, all hope looked grim.
However, faith was preserved for the final quarter, with two touchdowns from Elan Lewis and Eddie Royal. A lack of time and a lack of any serious motion left the Hokies to the end game 27-38.
The loss leaves Hokies with only 42 rushing yards, disgracing their 119 yard average. Sean Glennon finished 27 for 52, totaling 339 yards.
The Yellow Jackets become the only team in the ACC Costal Division without a conference loss. Full coverage from the Collegiate Times will be made available shortly.
