Campus bomb threat closes Torgersen

TOPICS: bomb threat crime

Students, staff and faculty evacuated Torgersen Hall around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon due to a bomb threat, according to a university-issued statement.

 

Virginia Tech police are currently on the scene. All classes held in Torgersen will be cancelled for the remainder of the day. Alumni Mall is closed to traffic and travelers are encouraged to use a different route.

 

Blacksburg Transit routes have also been changed.


Police will decide when to re-open Torgersen Hall to the public.
