Brief: Brown named dean of students

Virginia Tech named Thomas Brown it’s new Dean of Students Wednesday. Brown had previously occupied the senior associate dean position at the Dean of Students office. Brown graduated from Virginia Tech as an undergraduate and then pursued graduate school at Virginia. He has been serving Virginia tech for 29 years in several different positions. The dean of students office handles student orientations and works hand in hand with Virginia Tech’s other departments to respond to student emergencies.
