In a letter issued yesterday by the Collegiate Suites apartment complex to their residents, who were informed that hard-wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors will be installed in all apartments the upcoming days and weeks. Inspections of all apartments will also be scheduled.
The letter also made suggestions to provide an additional level of safety including keeping a window cracked, not blocking the air return to heating and cooling units, and opening all interior doors in the apartment.
The letter also stated that those who were affected and their families are in their thoughts and prayers.
Currently all five girls who were under critical condition have begun to recover and have improved to serious condition.
