The Blacksburg Police and the Virginia Tech Police Department work in a partnership to ensure the safety of the community and respond to crime incidents.
Blacksburg’s chief is Kimberley S. Crannis. The police station is located at 200 Clay Street Southwest. Its 24-hour non-emergency number is 540-961-1150. Its weekly crime report is available on its Web site.
Tech Police’s chief is Wendell Flinchum. The main police station is located in the Sterrett Facilities Complex near Southgate Drive, and the satellite station is located inside War Memorial Gym. Its 24-hour non-emergency number is 540-231-6411. Its weekly crime report is available on its Web site.

Single-car crash leaves man in hospital

A single vehicle-accident that occurred today at about 1 p.m. left a Radford man in the hospital after his car ran off the side of the road and up an embankment, said Sgt. Nathan O'Dell of the Blacksburg Police Department in a press release.
