An independent acoustic singer-songwriter from Manassas, Va., Craig Harmon has been heavily involved in the local music scene since his teenage years after picking up the guitar at age 12. After performing with a number of bands around the area such as The Wrong Reasons, Three Years My Junior, and Underlined, he recently broke away from group work to solely perform acoustic sets. His music can be described in one word as "honest," as different sounds and genres bridge the gap of musical exploration from song to song.

America has become obsessed with energy and the strain that rising oil prices have put on the economy. While the outrage over the price of oil is justified, the future of energy is a complex issue that needs direction and a firm plan. With the most recent G-8 summit happening this week, world leaders have delivered their initiatives for the upcoming year.
Blackboard course raises concern

An oversight in Blackboard's course creation tool recently allowed a group of students to create a virtual course listing for a class titled "Welfare 101," described as "how to not be a poor black man," raising concern over the use of university computing resources.
