After a week of warmer than average afternoon temperatures and clear skies, Blacksburg will finally begin to feel much more like fall this week.

Students heading to early classes on Wednesday morning will be in for a rude awakening as lows drop into the upper 30s. The pattern of mostly sunny skies will continue, but high temperatures will only warm into the mid- to upper 50s.

As classes wrap up Thursday and Friday and students prepare for another exciting football weekend, the cool but clear weather pattern will remain in place. A chilly night game is in store for Saturday as low temperatures will continue to drop into the upper 30s and 40s through Sunday. However, students can expect packed pumpkin patches and hiking trails each afternoon as highs reach the low to mid-60s each day.
