After a cold front moved through Saturday night, expect a chilly start to the week. High pressure will then build up across the region early this week bringing clear and sunny skies to Blacksburg.
Monday, the high will be in the mid-50s with sunny skies across campus, so make sure to bring a warm jacket. Overnight Monday, temperatures will dip down to the mid-30s with mostly clear skies and some light and variable winds. Tuesday will be very similar to Monday, with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-50s and sunny, clear skies while low temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 30s.
Afternoon temperatures Wednesday will be in the upper 50s with some clouds here and there as a warm front approaches the area. Wednesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of rain showers with a low around the mid-40s. By the end of the week, Thursday and Friday will warm up to the mid-60s and a rain shower or two is expected throughout the day.
Looking into the weekend, expect warm temperatures in the upper 60s with some possible rain in the forecast on Saturday. Other than that, temperatures will be perfect for a hike and some outdoor activity!
